Reduce Conflict With Your Youth
Clarifying Expectations and Consequences
If your youth doesn't turn in an assignment or study for a test, they know their grades will suffer. If they don’t show up for practice, they know they will not get to play in the game. Does your youth know your expectations and the consequences if they aren't met? At Youth Architects, we strive to reduce conflicts between youth and their parents by assisting parents articulate their expectations, and youth understand their motivation. While “because I said so” was enough justification for you, open communication can motivate youth to make decisions based on understanding instead of fear. Call Brian to make an appointment.

What Do You Want To Do?
Youth Aptitude Testing (formally Latitudes)
According to the National Center for Education Statistics, 80 percent of students in the United States end up changing their major at least once. On average, college students change their major at least three times over the course of their college career requiring two additional semesters. According to the College Board, the average cost of tuition and fees for the 2015–2016 school year was $32,405 at private colleges, $9,410 for state residents at public colleges, and $23,893 for out-of-state residents attending public universities.
Aptitude testing (recommended for girls thirteen and older and boys fifteen and older) helps youth and their parents answer the age old question, “What do you want to do?” The information garnered through testing is useful when selecting high school courses, college majors and when selecting the “right” college or university.  At Youth Architects, we meet once with families as they prepare for the online assessment and once more to help decipher the results. $199 (covers the cost of two sessions and testing) Call to make an appointment.
